Cash-Back & Commission FAQs

When will I receive my cash-back rebate?

Once your purchase closes and we’ve received the commission, we will issue your rebate directly by bank draft or e-transfer, typically within 7–10 business days of closing.

How do I claim my cash-back?

Sign our Buyer Representation Agreement. We handle the rest -- your rebate is set up and sent automatically after closing.

Is there a limit to the buyer rebate?

You’ll receive 1% of your purchase price, up to $20,000 on properties priced $400K and above.

Do I have to sell my home with Harris Homes to get the cash-back rebate when buying?

No. The buyer rebate applies to your purchase. You’re free to list (or not list) your home with any brokerage. Of course, if you sell with Harris Homes, you’ll also benefit from our fair selling rates, listing approach, and more money in your pocket.

What if my deal doesn’t close?

The rebate only applies when the property has closed, you have taken legal possession and the commission has been dispursed and processed by Our Neighbourhood Realty Inc., and paid to us. If your transaction falls through, no rebate is issued.

When and how do I pay my selling commission?

Your commission is paid at closing - we do not collect any upfront fees. For details, see our Transparent Guide to Selling.

What selling packages do you offer?

We offer Essential Support (3.99%) for near-market-ready properties and Complete Concierge (5.49%) for full staging, including minor repairs, painting, fixtures & more. Compare packages on our Transparent Guide to Selling page.
